1st annual A Woman's Celebration
On Mother's Day Love Thyself First celebrated a wide variety of women with an afternoon of Information and inspirational speaking geared towards promoting healthy effective self inventory.
Love Thyself First was successful in completing its Mother's Day mission. A Woman’s Celebration did include an uplifting performance by musical genius Ryan Dempsey as well as a breathtaking performance by the CEO of the Hip Hop Dance Theater, Tatianna Butler. The evening also included heartfelt poetry from men such as hip-hop and spoken word activist Messiah Ramkissoon as well as non-attorney mental health advocate, Johnny Perez.
Powerful words were shared by women such as the Founder & CEO of Love Shouldn't Hurt, Mellissa Holmes, who has overcome great physical, mental and emotional obstacles to find the strength to love and respect herself from within as well as the perseverance and strength of Breast Cancer survivor Anabel Evora. Author of “The Greatest Gifts of All,” April Diane, took the stage to bring introspective awareness to mind, body, & soul wellness. Her experience and professionalism provided an informative outlet to learning how to serve a higher purpose while still perfecting self love.
